 Intense
petroleum production in Galician region contributed to the development
of Lviv as a capital of this region. In Lviv appeared new road junctions,
beautiful theatres, refined palaces, educational establishments, nice
dwelling houses. But all this was the product of hard work of the workers
in petroleum mines and factories. We start our tour Lviv National Opera

adornment of the city. The building of Maria Zankovetska Drama Theatre

after Andrey Sheptytsky. We walk along the central Freedom Avenue, under
its surface the river Poltva flows.
 We
will visit the Pototsky Palace, which reminds refined palaces with its
architecture and impressiveness. We will also see one of the richest libraries
in Ukraine, which was famous as the private library of Ossolinsky family;
the belfry of Holy Spirit Church. If you wish we can also visit defensive
complex “Citadel”. We pass by St. Lazare monastery and Mary Magdelene
monastery (XVII – XVIII cc.) and Lviv Polytechnic University (XIX c.).
One of the most beautiful baroque buildings in Ukraine is St. George Cathedral
(XVIII c.). We will walk through the oldest park in Lviv to Ivan Franko
National University of Lviv which is one of the oldest in Europe. Next
