Spirit of Princely L'viv

If you take this tour, you will have a possibility to walk through the oldest streets of Lviv, to visit the ancient central square and temples, which were preserved since that times, the see the models of the ancient city and climb the High Castle hill, where the first fortifications were erected, and enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the city. In the end of the tour you will also have an opportunity to taste the famous beer “Lvivske” in the oldest brewery in Ukraine.

Our excursion starts at the German Church of Our Lady of the Snow (XIII c.), the Latin Benedictine monastery and the oldest church in Lviv – John the Baptist Church (the beginning of XII c.). Here the wife of Prince Leo, Queen Constance, was buried. Another ancient church we will see in this part of Lviv – is St. Nicolas Church. St. Onuphrius Church and monastery and the St. Parescheva
(XIII-XVII cc.) with wonderful iconostasis (72 icons, beginning of XVII c.) finish the Old Russian part of our tour.

Here we can finish the tour and turn back to the city center. Besides that the Brewery museum is very close to the place we finish our excursion, so you can visit it and taste the beer which is brewed in Lviv. If you wish, we can also climb the Castle Hill and view the panorama of Lviv and its suburbs. Duration of the excursion depends on your wishes (1-3 hours).
